“We’ve been hearing a lot on the news about sex addiction. Let me explain. There’s this gland in men that produces testosterone and compels them to procreate with numerous women. Men don’t face the imperative of having a baby grow in their belly, so the male mating strategy is based on making a lot of women pregnant, or at least having sex with them. The female strategy is to get one good man. That’s why marriage is not fair. I may use that argument tonight with my fiancee,” Brand says.

Russell Brand lives up to his reputation in the wildly outrageous Get Him to the Greek. He pushes the envelope on the screen just as he did in real-life in his days as a substance-abusing womanizer. But the once out-of-control Brand has been tamed by a female. Brand is engaged is to singer/songwriter Katy Perry. “I didn’t choose monogamy. Monogamy chose me,” Brand says. “I feel excited to be marrying such a lovely girl. I am now officially engaged because love made me crazy. It’s a big brain trick. Love is the universal migraine. It’s peculiar and insane to be monogamous, to have just one woman. I keep thinking there must be a loophole in this deal somewhere. But, the good thing is that because Katy loves me, I’m being a good boy.”
