Katherine Heigl may be facing her character’s mortality on Grey’s Anatomy, but the Emmy-winning queen of medical drama can be daringly funny, and she proves it in the R-rated comedy The Ugly Truth opposite Gerard Butler.

In person, Heigl has shed her blonde locks for a brunette look. She told Parade.com’s Jeanne Wolf why she’s always up for a change of color.
