Jennifer Coolidge: ‘Schmoozing Has Never Been My Thing’
Jennifer Coolidge seems resigned to forever being known as Stifler’s sultry mom after her outrageous breakout role in American Pie. But she’s gotten plenty lots of laughs in other hits, ranging from Legally Blonde to Best In Show.
Now, Coolidge is going over-the-top as another mother in Gentlemen Broncos, from filmmaker Jared Hess, who scored with 2004′s Napoleon Dynamite.
Parade.com’s Jeanne Wolf found out that Coolidge’s character came from Hess’ real life.
“Jared said my character was based on his mom. Even though I’m supposed to be playing her, let’s just say I don’t look fashionable, I design nightgowns for modest women. I don’t think I’ve ever worn so many lame outfits in a film. Then Jared’s mom actually came to visit the set and she’s, like, real hot…”
