Craig Ferguson has always marched to the Scottish beat of his own drum. While Jay, Conan and Letterman waged war, the 47-year-old remained above the fray as host of the popular Late, Late Show with Craig Ferguson.

Now he’s headed to the big screen in the animated 3-D feature How to Train Your Dragon. Ferguson told Parade.com’s Jeanne Wolf why he connected with a fearsome Viking dragon slayer and why he’s OK with his unconventional approach to the late-night scene.
